Antique 1840 Crosses and Losses with Chintz Border Quilt
DESCRIPTION: This gorgeous 1840's Crosses and Losses quilt has a wonderful blue chintz border that contrast beautifully with the chocolate browns and madder fabrics on the quilt. It is hand pieced and quilted with cable quilting on the blue chintz border and grid quilting on the interior of the quilt. There are 6-7 consistent stitches to the inch. The brown binding is rolled from the back and hand stitched to the front. The batting is thin. Cotton and Chintz *A sleeve has been attached for hanging.
CONDITION: The quilt is in good sturdy condition. It has not never been laundered and retains is color well. There are age discoloration spots and stains. There is one small hole in a dark stain. (Please see photos).
